Easy Slow Cooker Mac and Cheese

I have always been a macaroni and cheese lover.  Growing up my mom always made it from scratch and it was always one of my favorite dishes. I have seen so many versions of this on Pinterest but they all have either processed cheese or a canned cream soup and if you have been following my blog, you know that I do not use any of that in my recipes.  Let me just tell you that this super easy slow cooker mac and cheese is ah-mazing, if I do say so myself.  It is creamy and flavorful.  Simple ingredients come together to make the perfect creamiest slow cooker mac and cheese. This however isn’t a slow cooker dish you can throw in and come back to in a few hours because it only takes two hours on low and it needs to be stirred after one hour, but I do promise you perfectly cooked noodles and a rich creamy cheese sauce. This easy slow cooker mac and cheese will surely be a hit for any occasion.

Ingredients


1 lb. uncooked macaroni noodles

12 oz. can evaporated milk

3 1/2 cups low fat milk

3 cups shredded sharp cheddar

1/2 tsp pepper

Directions:

Place macaroni noodles in slow cooker.

Add evaporated milk and low fat milk, stir.

Add sharp cheddar cheese and pepper.

Stir well.

Cover and cook on low for one hour.

Uncover, stir well and cover again.

Cook additional hour, carefully watching to make sure noodles are cooked.
